Up to 200 users will be accepted into the closed beta program, but they will have to meet a few requirements: If you're accepted, your role will consist in finding and reporting OS bugs to OnePlus so that any critical issues will be fixed ahead of public release. You should not expect any build in this program to be stable or polished.
Likewise, it is only opened to users located in India. Similarly to other devices closed beta programs ( 9RT, 7,7T-series and Nord 2, original Nord), it will be focused solely on the OxygenOS 12 update and thus should last for approximately 2-3 months. Yesterday (May 16th, 2022), OnePlus has announced an OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta program for the device. Further, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 has received several updates since its launch and the latest one, OxygenOS A.12, bumped Android security patch level to April 2022 and fixed a bug that caused devices to not alert you about incoming calls. It is the successor of the OnePlus Nord CE and shipped with OxygenOS 11.3 (with ColorOS codebase) out of the box. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 has been released on February 17th, 2022.
